Though the Mather name became famous for its lifestyle homes, the company is one of long standing repute in the state of Kerala. Mather & Company was incorporated in 1944. Today, its activities include construction, real estate, metal packaging, hospitality and educational services.Starting in the 40s, Mather constructed bridges, barricades, convertor shops and undertook other customized work. Then it began constructing individual homes and finally, larger villa and apartment projects. Some of the Group’s achievements include the fabrication, erection and commissioning of massive steel sliding doors and platforms for ISRO (Indian Space Research Organisation), a 16,000 metre convertor shop, 72 metres high at Vizag Steel Plant, Vishakapatanam, Andhra Pradesh, the seawall along Kerala coastline etc. Mather has also bridged distances across Kerala for generations now. Notable examples include the Thotapilly Spillway Bridge, the Ithipuzha Bridge and the Pulloot Bridge. Of course, it was in building exquisite lifestyle homes that Mather discovered its true metier. Starting off in the 80s with joint ventures Mather burst on the scene in a big way, in the new millennium.
